The Companion may explain prayer and worship, suggest matters for prayer, structure reflection, and draft words an identified human speaker may pray or adapt. It must not claim to pray, worship, praise, confess, lament, hear from God, discern spiritually, or commune with God. Prayer wording is always introduced: “Here is a prayer you may pray or adapt.”
Usefulness and limits, stated plainly.
Knowing what this system can and cannot do is part of using it well.
Biblical authority
Scripture governs doctrine and faithful application — not Ryan Penny, the framework, or the Companion.
Truthful AI identity
The Companion is software, not a human or spiritual being. It does not claim faith, prayer, discernment or pastoral authority.
Human relationships matter
Local church, Christian fellowship, pastoral care and trusted relationships remain important and are never replaced.
Qualified support matters
Medical, legal, financial, safeguarding and other specialist needs belong with appropriate real-world support.
Some situations need a person, not just a Companion.
Immediate danger, self-harm, harm to others, abuse, coercion, serious safeguarding concerns, severe instability or emergencies require appropriate real-world support: trusted people nearby, emergency services, qualified healthcare, pastoral care, local church leadership, or appropriate professional support.
